The Chinese government is going to resume the 15-day visa-free policy for Singapore citizens from July 26, more than three years after it was suspended.

Singaporean citizens holding ordinary passports are allowed to enter China for tourism, business, visiting relatives and friends and transit purposes.

Visas that have been issued to Singapore citizens are still valid, and visa applications that have been lodged will be processed normally.

Singapore's foreign ministry said on social media that reinstating the visa-free policy will facilitate people and business flows between the countries and pave the way for deeper bilateral cooperation.
